Solunar: Hunt & Fish ("Solunar", "the app", "we") is built to work on your device. We don't run servers that store your data, we don't ask you to create an account, and we don't sell or share your personal information. This policy explains exactly what the app uses and why.
Location
Solunar asks for your location only while you use the app to calculate sun and moon times and solunar windows where you hunt or fish.
- All calculations happen on your device. Your location is never sent to us or to any third party.
- The app does not track your location in the background.
- If you decline permission, you can still use the app by adding a spot by hand.
Saved spots and settings
Spots you save (name and coordinates) and your preferences (hunt or fish mode, units, alert and widget settings) are stored only on your device. They are shared with the app's own Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets and Live Activities through on-device storage. They are deleted when you delete the app.
Notifications
"Prime window" alerts are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push service or server is involved, and you can turn them off at any time in the app or in your device settings.
Subscriptions and purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your payment details.
To manage subscriptions, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc., a subscription service provider. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-specific identifier, your purchase and subscription history, and basic technical data (such as device type, OS version, app version, country/region, and IP address), so it can confirm your subscription and let you restore purchases. Navigation to a spot
When you tap "Navigate", Solunar opens the maps app you choose (for example Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze) with that spot's coordinates. From that point the maps app's own privacy policy applies.
Analytics and advertising
Solunar contains no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. We do not use your data to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Children
Solunar is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices and rights
Because your data stays on your device, you are in control of it: you can revoke location access in your device settings, delete saved spots in the app, or delete the app to remove everything. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
