How to use a solunar fishing calendar to pick the best days of the month, with every new moon, full moon and supermoon from November 2026 to December 2027.
How to use a solunar fishing calendar to pick the best days of the month, with every new moon, full moon and supermoon from November 2026 to December 2027.
A solunar calendar answers a different question than a daily table. The table says which hours today; the calendar says which days this month. If you only fish or hunt a few days a month, the calendar is where planning starts.
For each day you get a rating based on the moon's phase and distance, often with the main windows listed. In the Solunar app this is the 30-day Forecast heatmap: every day as a row, every hour as a cell, brighter where activity is expected to peak. Tap a day to open its dial.
The calendar logic is simple:
Why the phases matter is covered in best moon phase for fishing and moon phases, perigee and the day rating.
On the day itself, use how to read solunar tables to choose the hours.
Dates are for US Central Time; the UTC date is in brackets when it differs. In Europe, the date is usually the same as UTC. ★ marks a moon within about 2 days of perigee, the strongest days of the calendar.

A calendar is astronomy: it's known years ahead. A fishing forecast adds the weather on top. Use the calendar to block days weeks in advance, then confirm with a fishing forecast the week of the trip.
