What science says about the moon and animal activity, why anglers and hunters still swear by solunar times, and how to use it sensibly.
It's the fair question: does solunar theory work? If you are about to plan a trip around a moon table, you deserve an honest answer, not marketing. Here it is.
Some links between the moon and living things are solid:
The specific claim of solunar theory, that fish and game feed harder during a two-hour window when the moon is overhead or underfoot, has limited rigorous support. Studies have been small, mixed, or hard to separate from other factors like light, temperature and tides. We'd rather say that plainly than oversell it.
We build Solunar as a planning tool, not a promise. It tells you when the moon and sun line up so you can choose when to go. The rest is fieldcraft. If you're new to it, start with what is solunar theory.
